Detroit legend Rick Wilhite spins some soothing house for Picnic

July 3rd 2017

  • Rick Wilhite :: Picnic Mix

Detroit house legend Rick Wilhite has been a part of the music industry for over 20 years now, as a record store clerk and promoter to a producer and DJ. Favouring the genres of house, techno, reggae and RnB, his depth of experience brings a keen eye to all facets of the industry and versatility to his sets.

On his recent Australian tour he visited Picnic to christen the show’s new time slot, bringing a crate of diverse, era-bending house and disco tracks. Over the hour and a half, Kali talks with Rick about his growth from working at to running record stores, his time in DJ super group Three Chairs and his unique trouble with artist bios.
