Martha: A Picture Story tells the tale of a champion of the underground, Martha Cooper. In the 1970’s as the boroughs of New York City burned, the photojournalist sought out images of creativity and play where others saw crime and poverty. Cooper became an icon for the street art movement, illuminated by Australian filmmaker Selina Miles’ in this documentary movie. Winner of the Sydney Film Festival Documentary Audience Award.
