Directed and written by Sally Potter, The Party is a sharply funny satire of modern politics and the upper-middle class.

The Dark Comedy focuses on a small celebration between friends. But, when an announcement by one of the attendees occurs, it provokes a series of revelations that gradually unravel the sophisticated soiree, and a night that began with champagne may end with gunplay.

This stellar ensemble cast headed by Kristin Scott Thomas, Patricia Clarkson, Timothy Spall and Cillian Murphy sees the actors shine in the most comedic roles of their career.

The Party is in cinemas April 12.
