Get to Work’s August ARTBAR takes over the museum with the theme of ‘Mysterious Girls’ – a night that welcomes artists, performers, writers and musicians to explore cultural identity in Australia.

ARTBAR takes your gallery experience and flips it on its head with an artist-driven evening of art, music and performance. Kicking off on the last Friday of every month, this adults-only event transforms all levels of the MCA.

Get to Work is the collaborative practice of Sydney-based artists Tracy Quan, Georgia Taia and Paris Taia. With a practice utilising video, performance and installation, Get to Work draw upon Chinese, European and Pacific ancestry to investigate cultural identity in Australia.
