South Sudanese pop star Gordon Koang comes to Sydney to launch his new single, Stand Up (Clap Your Hands).

A South Sudanese refugee currently seeking asylum in Australia, Gordon is a cultural icon back home. Playing the thom (a kind of Sudanese banjo) he inherited from his family, and accompanied by his cousin Paul Biel, Gordon plays original compositions in English, Arabic, and his native language, Neur.

In the leadup to his first ever album recorded in Australia, join Gordon and his band as they spread their message of peace, love and unity, dancefloor style at Fredas on Friday July 12.
