FBi Presents :: The War on Drugs

Announced as part of the Harvest Festival, Handsome Tours are pleased to reveal additional tour dates for The War on Drugs.

One of the most exciting bands to emerge in recent years, Philadelphia’s The War on Drugs will tour Australia for the first time this November. Following several lineup changes including the departure of founding member Kurt Vile, the four piece released their second album Slave Ambient in 2011 as the follow up to their 2008 debut Wagonwheel Blues. It was recorded over several years at frontman Adam Granduciel’s studio, and is full of songs that feel both refreshingly new yet instantly identifiable. With track such as their single, ‘Baby Missiles’ evoking the likes of Springsteen and Dylan, The War on Drugs craft nostalgic anthems with their signature brand of rock, folk, blues and everything in between.
