Celebrating the art of graphic storytelling, illustration, comics, animation, and music, GRAPHIC has just unveiled its 2016 program – jamming a whole host of free and ticketed screenings, talks, special commissions and exhibitions into one weekend.

LINE UP

Matt Groening’s ‘Secrets of The Simpsons, And A Couple Of Milhouse Fun Facts’ (AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE, SYDNEY ONLY) – expect embarrassing home movies, rare animated clips and even some full-frontal cartoon nudity.

Matt Groening & Lynda Barry: ‘Love, Hate & Comics: The Friendship That Would Not Die’ (AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE, SYDNEY ONLY) – celebrating a lifelong friendship between two storytelling legends since the halcyon days of underground comic strips.

George Lucas’ THX 1138 Re-scored Live (AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE) – the mythical sci-fi classic has been reinvented for the digital age with subs, breaks and riddims by Asian Dub Foundation.

Plus free talks featuring Michael Leunig: A National Treasure, First Dog on the Moon: How Not To Be Quite So Terrible, Brandon Graham: Graffiti Artist turned Manga Illustrator, State of the Nation: Safdar Ahmed, Alisha Jade, James Andre & Sarah Howell and Felix Colgrave with Greg Sharp & Alex Grigg.
