FBi Radio
Parisian house legend DJ W!LD is headed for Sydney’s best basement venue this weekend – Civic Underground – thanks to your homies Mantra Collective.
DJ W!LD’s production credits can be found on among the likes of Robsoul, One Records, RebelLION and VIVa Music, with his newer imprint W serving as a home for much of his material in recent years. As his stock in the production world has risen, so has his status as a DJ, with Circoloco snapping him up as DC10 resident in 2009 and Sven Väth inviting him to join the Cocoon family not long after. Sonar, Fabric and Panoramabar have been just a few of the other highlights from his hectic touring schedule.
Get a taste of his uniquely Parisian take on house with this exclusive mix he put together for the Mantra Collective podcast, and check out his top 5 labels below.

DJ W!LD’s Top 5 Labels
Trax
Trax Records is one of my favourite acid house labels of all time. It’s difficult to choose just one track as they have released so many bombs over the years. If you are looking for real quality music, in this label you’ll find the biggest names of Chicago house like Frankie Knuckle, Phuture, Mr. Fingers, and Marshall Jefferson, to name a few!
Rush Hour
Rush Hour is always a guarantee of high quality music. They have released a new EP recently, but they also stock a lot of old Chicago music, disco, house etc. etc. From a label like this, you’ll find artists like The Burrell Brothers, Carl Craig, Tom Trago and many different music styles also.
Ferox
Ferox is one of my favourite techno labels. They have released such great classics of techno history: artists like Paul Hannah, Too Funk, Russ Gabriel, and Ian O’Brien.
Cabinet
Cabinet is a huge part of my DJ life. Since day one for me, I’ve always carried Cabinet vinyl around with me in my DJ bag. For a few years, the label stopped and I wasn’t sure if they were to return, but luckily they decided to start going again and I’m very, very happy about this!
Mosaic
I have always been a big fan of Steve O’Sullivan. Both his label and productions are special to me as the continuity of quality and soul is never lost. Again, passion always shines through with music, and this is no exception.
