Today marks the launch of the Head On Photo Festival. Head on is the largest photography event in Australia and the second largest in the world. Providing a showcase for national and internationally renowned artists the festival presents photojournalism, landscape, portraiture, you snap it they’ve got it. With events and exhibitions encompassing the whole of Sydney, you should probably download the program and figure what to check out now…

Mother and Daughter: A Conversation explores the relationship and inheritance we receive from our parents. Presenting works by acclaimed Australian photographer Olive Cotton and her daughter Sally McInerney, the exhibition explores the continuing legacy and aesthetics of these iconic artists. Tonight’s opening will be hosted by Rex Dupain.
