There aren’t many artists that compare to the late, great David Bowie. His new album, Blackstar, rates amongst his best work and once again finds The Thin White Duke pointing the way forward for modern artists. Backed by some of the best jazz musicians in the game, the album pushes out at the boundaries of pop, jazz and rock, making sense of these sounds in a way that only Bowie could. Adventurous, bold and in hindsight incredibly poignant, Blackstar is a hell of a finale for one of modern music’s greatest acts.
