As part of National Reconciliation Week, we speak to Nathan mudyi Sentance, a Wiradjuri archivist who writes at the blog Archival Decolonist about the shortcomings of reconciliation and what the Coalition’s recent victory means for Indigenous people.

Many academics are pushing for a move away from the term to ‘image based abuse’, in an effort to desexualise the act and better address the motivations, and consequences for victims.
