Following the single “Sheng” on Do Hits Vol.1, Jason Hou has delivered his debut album. Sheng is a captivating blend of traditional Chinese instrumentation with modern dance music structures. The album features collaborations with Jin Zhang, a Chinese-Canadian composer and Frosty Eve, a Beijing melodic death metal band. Damn!
Physically Sick is a charity compilation curated by Allergy Season and Discwoman. 100% percent of profits from the compilation will go to selected charities who oppose the policies of the incoming American administration. Spanning hard-hitting techno and dusky low-fi house to uplifting disco and percussive club experiments, if you’re a dance music fan, we guarantee there will be something in there for you. Despite its 42 track length, Physically Sick doesn’t drag on for a second too long.
We’ve been waiting awhile, but boy was it worth the wait. Pleasure Dome marks a new direction for the Sydney duo as they delve into more housey territory but hey, no complaints from us!
