Sweetland plays techno and gets his mum on the mic. What could go wrong?

After the rolling grooves of his June Mix, Sweetland ramped things up into techno territory for July. The Melbourne producer/DJ has recently put out free remixes of Disclosure and Safia, both of which will have you gliding on the thermals, but this month’s mix includes a third track that rides a similarly ethereal vibe. It’s his take on Detroit Swindle‘s ‘Thoughts of She’, and it’s a groover if I’ve ever heard one.

KiNK, Daniel Avery and Audiojack all get a look-in too, plus the new one from British legends Groove Armada makes an appearance. It’s a well drawn-out forty minutes that’ll stick blinders on you until its finished.

Sweetland’s got one more mix in him before the end of his Autumn Residency on The Mixing Bowl. It’ll be aired on August 2 and streamed here on the Flog a few days afterwards, but there’ll be plenty more tunes from  the other residents in the meantime. Stephane, Kun and Chiefs have all got your back, spinning techno, soulful beats and bass music respectively.
