Unsigned Artist Of The Week :: Light Pressure

November 11th 2014

Dave Rennick is out on his own, and damn it’s a catchy adventure.

Have you ever wondered what the bad valet from Ferris Bueller would actually listen to while he’s driving? Firstly, interesting thought. Secondly, Dave Rennick has just made it with his new project, Light Pressure (formerly And.). The tunes are 80s induced synthedelia, with twists, turns and a cameo from Donny Benét. The liquid synth, gurgling riffs and popping vocals promise to keep shimmying those shoulders for you, with an album expected next year.

Because the Dappled Cities boys are mates five-ever, Ned Cooke and Alan Kumpulainen from the band have been brought on to lend their helping and music-making hands at live shows, alongside Andy Cleland (from Bones Bones Bones and Winston Surfshirt). If their performance at FBi Social’s last party is anything to go by, the full team is a complete treat for all future boogie-fiends.

Tune in to Up For It every Tuesday morning to find out our newest unsigned artist of the week!
