K-Hand graces Sunset with classic tastes of Detroit techno

July 18th 2017

  • K-Hand :: Thursday Sunset

K-Hand has been spinning techno and house since the 90s in Detroit, but over the last twenty years, her wealth of experience has taken her tastes international. Her selective ear has shaped her identity as a producer, and as the head of Acacia Records, a place where she explores all the flavours of disco, funk and electronic music that inspire her.

In the country for the first time in 14 years, K-Hand dropped by the FBi Radio studio for Kato and Ben Fester’s Thursday Sunset. Her love ofpercussive polyrhythms and classic dancefloor sounds shines in this mix and proves her status as the First Lady of Detroit Techno.
