FBi SMACS Festival

A celebration of Sydney’s brightest talent and undiscovered gems.

The first ever FBi SMACs Festival took over Carriageworks on Sunday January 10, 2016. Our favourite local musicians spread across three stages, while local artists sprung up with interactive performances and installations throughout the day. A riotously colourful mini golf course by Rosie Deacon, free soft serves inspired by David Capra’s sausage dog, a smokey barbecue manned by Donny Benet and so much more. Thanks for playing!

Presented in association with Sydney Festival and Carriageworks.

Venue

Housed in the heritage buildings of the old Eveleigh Rail Yards, Carriageworks is the most significant contemporary multi-arts centre of its kind in Australia. The site’s industrial scale makes it a uniquely special venue for this celebration of our city’s culture. The FBi SMACs will sprawl across the site with three stages of music, performance and installation art, mini golf and more.

Food

The brightly painted Monster Rolls Food Truck will be doling out 100% locally sourced, free range belly-fillers. They’re dedicated to producing the most tender, nutritious, slow-cooked meats, served either on a fresh baguette or super salad.

Look out for much loved Chippendale artisan bakers Brickfields, and an exciting new menu of fresh food from Fella. And of course, you can’t miss Donny Benet’s traditional Italian barbecue, ‘Molto Benet’… Treat yourself!

Playlist

The music lineup will spread 100% Sydney talent across three stages. From Wave Racer, Cosmo’s Midnight, Black Vanilla and Fishing to Hockey Dad, Shining Bird, Palms and Polish Club… While you’re warming up over the summer break, get familiar with a track from each of the artists here.
