Moody Beach plays ‘Heartache’ live and talks flight attendant life & borrowing hotel guitars

May 1st 2017

  • Moody Beach :: Interview With Lee Tran Lam
  • Moody Beach :: Heartache (Live on Local Fidelity)

Moody Beach, a.k.a. Melissah Marie, makes tunes inspired by her experiences working as a domestic flight attendant.

Formerly of Adelaide band The Rememberz, much of her music has been written and recorded in hotel rooms all across Australia as she bounces around the country for work. She joined Lee Tran Lam on Local Fidelity to tell her all about the up and downs of flight attendant life (sorry), like the in-house guitars available for borrowing in many hotels.

Marie is now based in Sydney and has just started releasing music as Moody Beach. With an EP on the way, she’s also just kicked off a new quarterly party series called Cult Club, held in the barbershop around the corner from her Redfern house, Hair by Tommy J.

Tune in above to catch the full chat, as well as an acoustic version of ‘Heartache’ live in the FBi studio. There’s also a brand new, never-before-played track called ‘Hawaii’ snuck in at the end. What a treat!
