Carpainter is a Japanese producer who can’t really be pinned down to just one genre – his style of production floats from garage to grime, juke, house and future bass. Along with being a versatile producer, he also started up Japanese music crew and label Trekkie Trax with musical pals Seimei and Masayoshi Iimori, pushing this kind of energetic style of dance music.

When he swung by Australia on tour last month, he popped into Sidechains for a bouncy guest mix. He lets his music do all the talking, delivering boppy tunes from his friends and plenty of his own work too. Expect dense jazzy chords, pumping beats and lots of energy!
