Listen to Moonbase Commander’s bass-heavy grime mix on Switch

MoonbaseCommander2016

Sydney producer Moonbase Commander lost his Splendour In The Grass virginity this year in the best way imaginable: by playing packed out sets on the Mix Up Stage. With that warm-up out of the way, he’s preparing for a national tour to celebrate his first release of 2016, ‘Greyhound’.

‘Greyhound’ is the first single off Moonbase Commander’s new four track EP, set for release through October Records. Following 2015’s uber successful Southpaw EP, the new release features a collaboration with Chicago rapper Mikey Dollaz.

Joining Sandro Dallarmi for Switch on Saturday night, Moonbase Commander laid down a mix of bass and new wave trap, doused in grime and hip hop samples. Limber up before you hit play – it’s a sweaty one.

Catch him live – the Greyhound national tour kicks off this month.
