Producer/DJ crew A Tribe Called Red have become the face of an urban Native youth renaissance in Canada, championing their heritage and speaking out on issues while making waves in the popular music scene. Since 2010 the group – DJ NDN, Bear Witness and 2oolman – has been mixing traditional pow wow vocals and drumming with cutting-edge electronic music. Their debut album in 2012 was long-listed for Canada’s prestigious Polaris Music Prize and netted a heap of airplay around the world, including on FBi.

They’re out here hitting multiple stops around the state, including Homeground at the Sydney Opera House and a headline show at The Factory Theatre. We brought the guys in to the studio to record this mix…
