Independent Artist of the Week: RENNAN

March 7th 2016

rennan

He might be only twenty years old, but James Brennan is no rookie when it comes to the hip hop game. Calling Sydney home, RENNAN is already making a name for himself as an emcee thanks to his fast flows, sharp lyricism and catchy melodies.

Beginning his musical journey in his teenage years, RENNAN started rapping at the age of fifteen in search of a creative and emotional outlet. It’s easy to see that he wears his heart on his sleeve, cultivating brutally honest lyrics that resonate with the world around him.

In ‘I Can Tell’, RENNAN endeavours to mend his heart the only way he knows how – through writing. The track explores his need to fill a void left by someone that he loved, making it at its very essence an unassuming breakup melody.
