Braille Face makes the kind of entrancing, synth-driven experimental pop that will take over your head after one listen. Hailing from Melbourne, the solo project of Jordan White commands attention with deep, percussive loops and infectious synthesisers.

2015 saw White write and record twelve albums – one for each month of the year. Now he’s back in 2016 with new tunes and the promise of a new album, to be released later this year on independent Melbourne label, Spirit Level. Co-founded by Tim Shiel and Wally de Backer (Gotye), Braille Face is the label’s first Australian signing. Recently announced on the huge BIGSOUND 2016 lineup, it seems that Braille Face is on the up and up, with no chance of him stopping any time soon.

Treat yourself to his most recent single ‘Backwards/Medicated’ below: boasting spacious vocals, crisp production and intoxicating beats that give off haunting and ethereal vibes. Perfect for a chilly winter day.

Tune into Up For It every Monday morning to meet your new independent artist of the week!
