Exclusive Mix :: Platform 19 for The Mixing Bowl [[March Mix]]

Fans of all things bassy and British, Platform 19’s first mix of their autumn residency puts a high-tension trampoline under your butt.

Platform 19 have been regulars at The World Bar in Kings Cross for a while now and have started popping their heads into FBi more and more since their guest mix on Spin The Bottle last November. That mix turned me onto their tunes, so I featured them on Fade Up and now they’re one of four resident DJs over autumn on The Mixing Bowl alongside Tink, Terace and Floria.

In their Fade Up interview, the Sydney lads told me “We’ve taken massive inspiration from guys like Pablo Calamari who has been around since the original garage movement and has come back to it now, but with a far more modern spin on his stuff, putting out some proper grimy UK house. In 2014 we highly recommend keeping an eye on our homeslice Acaddamy who’s really stepped up his house game.” Both those dudes are included in this bassline house themed mix, alongside the premiere of Platform 19’s first original track (which I’m super excited about by the by).
