Verisimilitude

Poetry Night

Clay Body (Unfired)

Clay Body (unf.) is a portrayal of the body as object.  With the addition of silicon moulds taken from the clay impressions, the work processes and refines the human subject until what is left is so close to human that we recognise it’s familiarity; with mark makings of skin, hair and pores yet the eventual form that it takes is eerily alien.
